Ron F. Hix

CPA, Co-founder

Ron, a co-founder of RHCo., has been a member of the CPA profession since 1972. He worked with a large national accounting firm before co-founding RHCo., in 1986. In addition to serving as the managing shareholder of RHCo. Ron serves many RHCo., clients by overseeing income tax compliance and planning services and various financial statement services for individuals and their closely held entities. Ron is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jason C.Hix

CPA

Jason Hix was born and raised in Albuquerque. He received his degree in Accounting from the University of New Mexico. Prior to joining Reynolds, Hix & Co., P.A., he worked in the tax department for KPMG, LLP in Albuquerque. Jason is a member of the AICPA, New Mexico Society of CPA’s, and the past president of the New Mexico Estate Planning Council. Jason’s practice focuses on income taxation, estate planning, and business planning for closely-held businesses.

Jeff S.Hix

CPA

Jeff Hix is a life-long resident of Albuquerque, graduating from Sandia High School.  He finished up his degree in Accounting from the University of New Mexico while playing for the Lobo baseball team during his last two years.  Thereafter, he immediately went to work for the Albuquerque office of KPMG, LLP as an auditor reaching the position of Manager.  Jeff joined Reynolds, Hix & Co., P.A. in 2003 and has worked for the Firm since then.  He is a member of the AICPA and the New Mexico Society of CPA’s.  Jeff’s practice focuses on auditing, accounting and taxation for individuals, closely held business, non-profits and retirement plans.  Away from work, Jeff enjoys coaching youth sports, going to the lake, hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities with his family and friends.

James R. Hamill 

Ph.D., CPA

Jim Hamill is the Director of Tax Practice at Reynolds, Hix & Co., P.A., in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he provides tax consulting services for real estate, partnership and corporate clients and also provides estate planning services for families. He is also a managing member of Exchange Facilitators, LLC, which provides qualified intermediary and exchange accommodation titleholder services for Section 1031 exchanges.  Jim is the author of over 30 CPE courses and more than 100 articles in professional tax journals and writes a weekly column on tax issues for the Albuquerque Journal.  He has lectured on structuring tax transactions throughout the country for over 25 years and does web-based learning for CCH.  He is a CPA in New Mexico, a past Chair of the New Mexico Society of CPAs, has 35 years of experience as a tax practitioner and also taught university tax courses for more than 20 years.

Harold E. Reynolds, Co-Founder, Retired

Harold, a co-founder of RHCo., was an active member of the CPA profession for over forty years and was instrumental in attracting and maintaining a solid core of RHCo., clients until his retirement as of December 31, 2009. He was honored for his services to the CPA profession with the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the New Mexico Society of CPA’s in 2009.
